Our double rooms feature grand stone fireplaces with wood-burning stoves, dedicated writing desks, and comfortable sitting areas. Each bed is fitted with a premium, high-end mattress to ensure a restful night's sleep. Windows frame stunning views of the surrounding hills, the ancient church clock tower, the castle turrets, and the historic Plas Mawr. Complimentary logs are provided for your stove

Our single rooms feature beautifully crafted wooden beds positioned perfectly for gazing out at the sheep grazing on the hillside. In the evenings, you can take in the spectacular moonscapes rising above the peaks. Every single room includes a dedicated writing table and a quiet space to sit and contemplate your next chapter

Room Amenities & Bathrooms

All rooms are stocked with fresh towels, custom books selected to inspire your creativity, and complimentary mini toiletry sets. Guests share a modern shower room featuring both a rainfall shower and a directional fitting. There is also a beautiful family bathroom complete with a restored Edwardian clawfoot bath and plenty of bubble bath for a relaxing soak

The middle floor boasts spectacular four metre high ceilings, with the kitchen and living areas elegantly divided by reclaimed welsh chapel doors. In the main sitting room, you will find an additional workspace nestled inside our "library of curiosities". Alongside traditional sofas and armchairs, three deeply cushioned window seats offer the perfect spot to recline and read

Enjoy a luxurious self-catered retreat in our historic but fully equipped luxurious cottage. After a day of writing, unwind in a copper tub after a coastal or mountain walk before cooking a lovely meal with ingredients from the award winning butchers, artisan grocers or bakeries in town, or source fresh fish from the quay all mere minutes away. Alternatively, Conwy has many excellent restaurants and eateries to choose from.

The Surrounds

The Quay & around the Estuary

There are lots of picnic tables and benches near the boats if you enjoy writing with seagulls cawing and boats bobbing and putting or fancy a short walk to allow your ideas to bubble up. Parisellas ice-cream is sold on the beach and there is a traditional., historic pub built directly into the town's old castle walls, sitting right opposite the harbour front. It is highly popular for its waterfront views and large outdoor seating area right on the quay.

The Church Grounds

Sit in the grounds of the ancient church, the oldest site in Conwy and write in the hush, or walk amongst the tombstones and be inspired by some of the fascinating characters beneath you.

Suspension Bridge Toll House

Another great place to write, though you will need to sit on the grass or perch on stone steps. You can look at the estuary and boats as you walk across the bridge.
